NEW Ministry Opportunites!
Men's Group The Men's Group will host an eight week program on Sunday evenings from 7pm to 8pm starting on November 1st and running through December 20th. The meetings consist of reviewing the readings for the current weekend's Mass and discussing their meaning and how to relate them to our lives. We use the National Fellowship of Catholic Men scripture study as a guide. Ten families here at St. Marks have been doing this for just about a year now as part of a pilot program. Join us and give it a try! PilgrimQueen.OrgWebsite

Pro-Life The Pro-Life Group at St. Mark's usually meets on the 3rd Sunday of the month in the Parish Hall after the 11:00am Mass. Our mission is prayer and education to bring an end to abortion and euthanasia - to reverence and honor the dignity of all human life. Through prayer and education our aim is to keep the "Culture of Life" in the forefront of the minds of fellow Catholics. We endeavor to have an activity each month. A sampling of activities include a "Celebration of Life Mass" in the spring - for babies baptized the preceding year, holy hours, novenas, and an annual Baby Shower to replenish supplies at Birthright of Attleboro. Our ministry works closely with the Pro-Life Apostolate of the Fall River Diocese. Saint Vincent de Paul Society The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international Catholic organization of lay persons who help those people in need.Organized locally, the Society's work encompasses every form of aid that alleviates suffering and promotes the dignity of people. Activities include home and spiritual aid visits, hospital and nursing home visits and attendance at wakes and funerals to lend comfort to the families of deceased parishioners. Clothing and food collections are conducted for distribution through area food cellars and salvage centers, as well as food vouchers, rent and fuel subsidies and medical aid. Sick, Elderly and Homebound Ministry This ministry involves visits and the sending of cards by volunteers to homebound parishioners and those in area nursing homes and hospitals. Prayers services are also held weekly at Elm Terrace and Brookside, with monthly visits by the priest. A special parish-wide healing service is usually scheduled each year.
